Or do we. This weekend I got to see what makes one of the cities most talented young artist, with one of the most talented teams around him tick. For his 24th birthday Wrist Factor records artist Carleone tore down the building. I... was just a fly on the wall.

It rained, it poured, it was damn near a tornado on top of us but at that moment, no one in the room cared. Sunday, June 28th, at 2720 Cherokee Carleone's Chucks and Jay's party happened. Weather was a mess I understand but for a person like me that loves the art of hip hop and supports local artists it was worth the puddles in my All Star classics.

Niq, Amber Woods, JonesBoy and a few more on the card made the night worthwhile. The show was condensed enough you didn't get tired of people on stage at a party and the DJ and host kept us rocking in between sets all night. Different than expected for a birthday and more so a concert but adequately entertaining and after that you better believe the turn up was real.

2720 Cherokee which has become a prominent spot for underground artist to showcase talent is so much more than just a place with a stage. Slumfest was housed here this same weekend and it's also a hip hop gallery in an area that is rich with culture not of mainstream... well anything.

Carleone brought his family, friends, and anybody with working ears to their feet with an introduction from his producer and engineer Willie Woods. 11.5 million records sold!!! He shouted as he proclaimed Carleone to be his next crowned jewel. Wrist Factor records just may be on to something.
